Castle Venlaw's Public Rooms
Castle Venlaw - A Scottish Castle Hotel
When looking for that perfect break away what could be more wonderful than staying in a beautiful 18th century Scottish castle hotel?
Please note: We are unable to cater for infants and children under the age of 7 in all public areas after 7.00pm at all times.
The library is the hub of the castle. Sit and enjoy a coffee in the morning, a meal at lunchtime , a hot chocolate on a winters afternoon or a malt by the fire after dinner.
This room in the turret of the Castle is very much as it was in the time it was built. Lined with bookcases, dominated by a big fireplace and a real fire in winter.
Our library bar is well stocked and, in addition to draft beers we stock a number of local beers. It goes without saying that we have an interesting collection of malt whiskies as well!
Whilst maintaining the style and tradition of a property like ours commands, we have introduced an air of relaxed informality to ensure you enjoy the best possible experience.
Whenever possible we use fresh produce buying from the abundance of Scotland's larder. We like to be flexible. If you would like something that's not on the menu - just ask. We can't promise that we will have what you are wanting but we can promise we will do our best!
THE ADAM ROOM
This room is on the ground floor of the hotel and is where breakfast is served. It has a lovely high ceiling with ornamental cornices and a large bay window looks out over Peebles.
